Governor Adams Oshiomhole apologizes over comments to a widow

Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo today Friday November 29th apologized for the comments he made to a widow in Benin during an inspection tour on Mission Road, in the state capital, a fortnight ago.

Oshiomhole said that he now regretted the comments which had become the subject of discourse in the social media. The Governor said that he made the comments in anger.

The governor’s apology was made when the leadership of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), paid him a courtesy visit in Benin. Continue...

The venue was filled to the brim. Waje performed well but she didn’t really thrill the audience as expected.

Other performers include Ice Prince, Wizkid, Davido, Phyno, Flavour, Olamide, Davido, Tiwa Savage, D’banj and P square.

Davido played a $1000 stunt by announcing that he’ll give $1000 to the best skelewu dancer -  so many youths rushed to the stage when he made the announcement.

Davido was the only artiste that didn’t lip sing, he performed live with his band – his Skelewu and Gobe songs got the audience screaming for more.

Olamide on the other hand got everyone singing along all through his performance, he further gave a surprise performance with Pyhno.

ASUU Strike: Outcome of ASUU & FG (President Jonathan) Meeting On Monday

The outcome and update on the meeting between ASUU and the Federal Government (President
Goodluck Jonathan) of Monday, 4th November, 2013 might just put an end to the ongoing strike. It is understood that the President presented some offers to the ASUU leadership. The President of ASUU declined comments on this. He said the message is for ASUU members, after which they will make a decision.

After thirteen hours of negotiations, the President
of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge on tuesday morning was not forthcoming with the new Federal Government’s offer as he insisted that his members have the final say on the issue. Speaking with State House correspondents, he said that the meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan discussed how to tackle the problem of University education system in the country. He said: “Well we have had lengthy meeting with Mr. President, rubbing minds on how best to
address the problem of University education in this country.” “And we now have a message from Mr. President we are going to take to our members. And we are expecting that our members will respond appropriately to the message of Mr. President.” On whether the lecturers are going back to the classroom, he said: “That is up to our members.” Asked what the message was, he said: “I can’t tell
you. Its not for you. It is for our members.” If impressed with the message, he said: “Don’t put words into my mouth. Our members will determine that.” Also speaking with journalists at the end of the
meeting, the Minister of Labour Emeka Wogu said: “We made progress, the President of ASUU
told you that they are going back with a message
from the Federal Government back to their members. And the message is full of high expectations and hope.” On whether the strike will be called off, he said: “That is why the message is full of high
expectations and hope. So our prayers is that they come back with positive outcome. They might not even come back to meet us, they might take decisions there that will meet your expectations.”
“Nigerians should be patient for ASUU to finish
their meetings and come out with a message to
Nigerians.” Responding to whether the Federal Government made a fresh offer, her said: “Well, the offer we made are the offer they are taking in line with the 2009 agreement. The issues that led to the strike are issues contained in the 2009 agreement and we did not go beyond the agreement.”

Nigerians To Experience 7 Days Of Darkness

Nigerians will experience a week-long electricity rationing that will put the country into darkness for the period. This will be the longest period in recent years that the country would be faced with blackout.
The development is coming few days after theFederal Government declared that its hand-over of the assets and facilities of PHCN including generation and distribution plants to private firms was successful.
The authorities had explained that the problem was
due to the loss of 400 megawatts following repair
works being carried out by the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), the major suppliers
of gas to the power plants particularly Afam VI Power
plant. The management of Transmission Company of
Nigeria (TCN) in a statement in Abuja yesterday said
there would be a reduction in generation output by
400mw, from today to Saturday, November 9, 2013.
According to the statement, “this is due to the Shell
Petroleum Development Company’s (SPDC scheduled maintenance work on Okoloma gas plant supplying gas to Afam VI Power Plant, thereby leading to the shutdown of the power plant, resulting in nationwide power rationing.” It explained further that the shutdown of Afam VI power plant became necessary to allow SPDC inspect and carry out routine maintenance work on the Okoloma natural gas station in Afam, Rivers State, to ensure its technical integrity.“Maintenance work on Okoloma gas plant, SPDC revealed was important to guarantee continuous and uninterrupted supply of gas to Afam VI for power generation into the national grid.”

Prophet Busted Having S** With Married Woman In A Bush Commits Suicide

                                           

A “prophet” who has been identified as Simon Neruwana, a prominent prophet with the Zion Churchwas was caught banging a married woman in Mutare, Zimbabwe. The church man who spotted them and took the video is a member of the Apostolic church who was doing his prayers in the bush. The Madzibaba man got curious when the two disappeared onto the ground. He got closer and saw the man pull down the woman’s pants and then his own trousers to just above the knees and the two started having s*x. A four-minute tape was also recorded of the prophet and the woman has become an instant hit in Mutare.

Unconfirmed reports reaching us are that the Mutare Madzibaba one Simon Neruwana, a senior prophet with the Zion Apostolic Church of the bush sextape has committed suicide. Details are still sketchy but rumours reaching by iHarare News crew from Mutare are that the jilted husband of the cheating wife set a trap for Madzibaba. When the s**tape leaked Madzibaba took his rural areas in Bikita in order to evade the long lens of the media. One of the moles informed Source that Madzibaba Neruwana used a lot of money to buy The Manica Post copies last Friday in a bid to stop his neighbours from reading the bush act.

“He tried to conceal the incident, but word had spread around the ghetto. He could not bear the humiliation and left for his rural home,” said a neighbour who requested anonymity. Another resident said Neruwana was popular in the sprawling ghetto because of his ‘prophetic powers’.

Confusion Rocking Wizkid’s Starboy Entertainment ?

Information reaching us from some grapevines about the recently established record label by Wizkid, Starboi Records, seems not to be a very palatable one. There are rumour making the rounds that their is confusion already in the young label.
Recall that Wizzy, as Wizkid is also fondly called, floated his label during his reported ‘fight’ with his boss, Banky W, in which he was reported to have left EME label to form his label, until they both found a way to sought things out between each other.

After he formed his Starboi Records, Wizkid reportedly signed a new artiste, LAX and both released a song entitled ‘Caro’ which has gained massive airplays on both radio and TV stations across Africa.

The gist reaching us is that LAX is about to set up his own label. The reason for this, according to the rumour, is that Wizkid allegedly cheated him from the proceeds made from their hit song, ‘Caro’.

LAX is now set to establish his own music label to be called SMR Entertainment, we were told
